Our story

Two years in the making

For two years we have grown a community of more than 30 people. We have seen extraordinary testimonies of people finding hope, friends discovering their purpose, families being supported.

In this time we have knit together as a team and a community, equipped ourselves and prepared for the next season. Now, after this season of strategic preparation, we are opening Biserica Poarta Regelui in Cluj-Napoca.

Where

The east side of Cluj, near the airport - accessible to the city, the outskirts and the neighbouring villages.

When

25 October 2026 is the day we officially open our doors, in a location where we can grow.

Pastors

Carmel & Ioana Ciurdaș

Born in Baia Mare and married since 2009, Carmel and Ioana have two daughters, Abigail and Amadea. In 2023 they relocated to Cluj after 14 years in the United Kingdom.

There they were formed as leaders and pastors at KingsGate Community Church and developed projects serving the Romanian community. Their passion: to see people reach their God-given potential and become agents of change.
